who's Karl Geary

Karl John Geary (born May 31, 1972 in Dublin, Ireland), is an actor and club owner. He moved to the United States at the age of fifteen in 1987; he later got a green card in a visa lottery for Irish illegals, and ultimately became a naturalized citizen. He has seven brothers and sisters.
He appeared in Madonna's Sex book. His television and film roles include Sex and the City, Hysteria – The Def Leppard Story, and 2001's Hamlet. He wrote 2003's Coney Island Baby. He appeared as a principal character, Coffey, in the 2008 horror film The Burrowers.
He owns a downtown Manhattan bar called "The Scratcher" [1], and previously co-owned another club, the original tiny Cafe Sin-é on St. Mark's Place in the East Village, where he waited on tables alongside Jeff Buckley.

In 2003, Geary married Scottish actress Laura Fraser. They have one daughter. They live in Brooklyn
